I have over 35 years of Lay Ministry experience.
I have served in various capacities in the local church as Youth Leader, Worship Leader and Psalmist, Small Groups Director and Women's Ministry Director.
I have traveled and led women in missions to Nigeria, Cuba and Guatemala. Presently I am certified to lead Women in StoryWork Therapy and I am also serving along with my husband in Marriage Ministry in our local church.
I am married to my best friend (Harold) of 44 years. We have a daughter and a son as well as 5 Beautiful grandchildren.
I love Jesus and everything in my life is related to his saving grace.
I believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. However this is truly only achievable by the surrendering of our lives to Jesus. A relationship with him, the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God the bible will lead us into the healing we need.

Our stories are best seen in the company of others. The StoryWork is done in a setting much like a "Small Group" and is a profound event that invites you deeply into the themes of your life within the context of a supportive and facilitated environment. Through teaching and group work, you will receive encouragement and wisdom as you seek to understand, write, tell and live your story in deeper and more transformative ways. I also can facilitate a "one on one" session. The Sessions and curriculum we use is approximately 10 weeks long. You will receive the study booklet for a nominal fee. You will do each chapter and as we gather together we will discuss the chapter thoroughly.
I specialize in helping Women through StoryWork to understand and heal their wounds in a Journey through their relationship with God.
Healing can only come from going back and recognizing where it all began. We will dive into your stories that impacted you as a child. Stories that left an imprint and that are very much alive in your body, mind and spirit.

The Allender Center trains people to listen and work through narratives of harm–both their own stories and the stories of others–to foster truth, goodness, and beauty in all of their relationships.
At the heart of The Allender Theory is the belief that you can only take someone else as far as you have gone yourself. Our conferences, workshops, groups, training programs, and other offerings are unique in their emphasis on empowering individuals to work on behalf of transformation in the lives of others–starting with themselves.
We operate out of Dan Allender’s conviction that God, the author of all story, has called you to write your own story in interaction with the stories of others and as contributions to the ongoing narrative that God is telling. To that end, we equip therapists, pastors, and leaders to:
The Allender Center is committed to training lay ministry leaders on behalf of healing and redemption through story --- beginning with their own. Our unique approach emboldens leaders to facility healing through engaging individuals' stories with courage, compassion and skill.
Story is the heartbeat of God, the primary form for revealing who we are, who God is, how the world is broken, and how God intends to restore us and the world. We believe, too, that no one escapes harm over the course of their lifetime. Therefore we all have stories that need healing and restoration. Unfortunately, there are very few contexts in which the full extend of harm and heartache in the human experience can be explored in a way that brings healing.
Our pupose is to step in to this gap to offer story exploration experiences to address harm and tragedy with informed care and holistic engagement, identifing the emotional, spiritual and relational impacts of our core stories of neglect, loss, betrayal or outright abuse and violence. And in this process, something truly transformative happens: we find the hope of redemption.
